A Father’s Day weekend spent watching his son pitch is nothing new for Noel Clarke, the father of Diamondbacks right-hander Taylor Clarke. But Saturday was not like the others. Toward the end of March 2016, a very important phone call came to the offices at Gila River Arena in Glendale. The call was answered by Coyotes Chief Operating Officer Ahron Cohen. About

Richard A. Morin

Growing up in Suncook, New Hampshire, I began my amateur career in journalism by interning with WTPL Radio in Concord, N.H. While there, I co-hosted a sports talk show with Boston sports broadcasting legend Bob Lobel during my tenure at Pembroke Academy high school. After graduating in 2013, I began attending Suffolk University in Boston as a Broadcast Journalism major and began working with The Boston Globe at the end of my freshman year, covering high school sports. The same year, I launched a sports blog/website, where I worked as editor-in-chief and senior writer for 5 years. For the next 3 years I worked for The Boston Globe, where I covered several college teams (University of New Hampshire football, UMass football, Harvard basketball), numerous high school teams and sports, as well as various pro teams. Now a graduate of Suffolk, I left New England and am currently a full-time sports reporter with The Arizona Republic and azcentral sports.
